People. Building relationships and doing life together is my greatest joy in my life. I am not nearly the person I am today without those around me, and I recognize that this is true for everyone.
Photography. If that’s not already evident My interest was seeded in high school, but it truly blossomed in 2008. One unusually gorgeous Seattle summer, I repeatedly “borrowed” my friend’s new camera and started shooting friends and capturing life as it happened. Once I stumbled upon putting people + photography together, I have been capturing stories ever since.
My Lord and Savior. I only have so much room but if you were to bear with me for pages on end, I would only begin to express how it is only by the Lord’s grace that I am here doing what I love. A friend once told me a theory that “passion” + “gifting” = calling. I thank God for the simplicity of this equation.
Philanthropy. I believe that we are blessed to be a blessing. I find creative ways to give back to the community and social causes throughout the year. In 2012, I donated half of my profits to International Justice Missions’ work in Southeast Asia against human trafficking (read more in my post). Since 2010, I have helped organize events in support of the Help Portrait movement, which strives to provide free family portraits for the underprivileged people in our local community (read more about events we have organized in Seattle and how to get involved).
