When Ophelia arrived at the UW Arboretum, her heart was pounding. Little did she know that his was too. Bridge by bridge and rose by rose, Jeremy tenderly led her from one puzzle piece to another. When they finally arrived at a secluded bench by the water, he asked her to put the puzzle pieces together. And that’s when this question formed: “Will you cross this bridge with me?”
That warm summer day in 2005 marked the beginning of a God-scripted, beautiful journey of courtship, love, and marriage. Seven years later we returned to the Arboretum to celebrate a new joyous occasion — the joy of expecting their first child.
Walking with these two has been one of the great joys and blessings in my life. Jeremy and Ophelia, I celebrate you, your darling baby girl to come, and the beautiful life and story your family will weave together.
With love always, Maxine (aka future god-mama :))
